I told Maria that if I have a chance, I want to come back as an animal on her farm. Every, we feed the cats around 3:30. Maria goes on the front porch to feed Flow, who has her throne there.
Then she comes to the back porch, to feed Minnie. The chickens come to try to get Minnie’s food. When I am there, I chase them off with a broom or throw things at them or turn the water hose on them.
When Maria comes, she brings a bag of pumpkin seeds, to distract the hens while Minnie is eating. Fate gets one seed at a time as a snack. Maria is an angel I think, she is so full of love and feeling.
This is the Peaceable Kingdom, she makes the time to make all the animals feel loved and cared for every day. This is a beautiful thing for me to see, it makes me love her all the more.
Jon, not only do I find this picture peaceful to look at, Maria is a natural, but I look at the balance you have in this picture. It is quite symmetrical. Maria in the centre, a cat on one side, balanced by Fate, the dog on the other side of Maria. Two chickens out front, as focus, the flowers either side. I think you see this as well because so many of your pictures are so well-balanced visually, aside from capturing light. Thanks for such a lovely setting, it feels warm looking at it, it brings peace, looking at it. It is a lovely composition.
