The Price Chopper Gift Card Campaign: Food Security

by Jon Katz

As some of you know, I’m continuing our Price Chopper Gift Card Program to help the Bishop Maginn High School refugee families and the Mansion aides who need help feeding their families right now.

There are three, possibly four refugee families who need food assistance, and three families of Mansion aides. These are all good and hard-working people caught in the chaos and confusion of the coronavirus.

Your gift cards are making a difference. Even before the pandemic, some of these refugee kids have been getting one warm meal a day.

You can see and buy the Price Chopper gift cards here – Price Chopper stores are in the refugee neighborhood and also in our community near the Mansion.

You can purchase gift cards in any amount.

Please have the cards sent to me, Jon Katz, 2502 State Route 22, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.

If you don’t wish to purchase them online, you can send a contribution to me via Paypal, [email protected], or Jon Katz, P.O.Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.

Our work with Bishop Maginn and the Mansion is continuing in a number of ways – clothes, shoes, school supplies, student snacks.

You can contribute to the Mansion/Refugee Fund via Paypal, [email protected], or by check, Jon Katz, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816.

Thank you so much. The gift cards have been a godsend to many people this year, and your generosity is much appreciated. I hope to soon continue regularly prepared dinners for the Mansion aides and residents.

The Mansion is still in lockdown and these meals matter.
