Ghost Glass Cats – A Meditation Fish

by Jon Katz

I’ve got six Ghost Glass Cats in our fish tank now, they are one of the few freshwater tropical fish that offer us a view of their internal organs, we can see right through them.

The Ghost GlassCaat is like a living skeleton. Their organs swim bladder and vertebral columns are all visible. They are schooling fish, they stay close together and stay down low in the tank.

They shimmer all day, I think they are a perfect meditation fish.  I sit and watch them for a few minutes before going to sleep. Come and see.

  1. I use to have fish tank years ago and I so enjoy watching your fish. When you and Maria talked about a betta fish I went to the pet store and purchased myself one and a small fish tank. His name is Ori and I really enjoy him; he is a beautiful shade of blue. Maybe I can have fish some time again in the future. I remember my guppies and angel fish. I had one fish that looked like a catfish that helped clean the tank. I can see why you and Maria watch the fish before bedtime; it is very relaxing.

  2. I bought myself a beautiful blue betta who I call Alpha..I find it so peaceful watching him swim especially when his fins are all open like a fan..I have the tank by my computer..I get sad though as I would love another one but you can’t put any fish in same tank..
