The Feral Feral Community Cats Wish Lift: Five Items Left!

by Jon Katz

Bulletin: The Community Cats Wish List Sold Out Early This Morning: Thank you so much.

Good news. The Community Cats Feral Amazon Wish List is back up and running – they had a slew of technical problems yesterday, but they are all fixed.

The Community Cats group – which works to help feral, lost and abandoned cats, put 18 urgently needed items on their Wish List, and there are only five items left.

This very worthy group needs two Puppy Training Pads, ($15.27) each; two Cat Tracks Cat Toys ($10.99) each; Two Interactive Self Rotating Toy Balls ($13.98) apiece, and one Humane Live Animal Trap ($99.99).

You can view and purchase any of them here.

This group, founded by cat lover Darlene Phillips, has trapped, neutered and returned more than 100 feral cats and also has lost and abandoned cats in foster care all over Washington County, New York.

You can see their blog here. Their Facebook and donation page is here.

I think they are a perfect fit for the Army Of Good and for animal lovers.  We are hoping to raise awareness of the need to deal with these animals, so many of whom are unable to be with humans.

There are an estimated 70 million feral cats in America, they often die painful deaths.

Please check out the Wish List here and help if you can.

  1. Jon, I think I can say that all of us that read your blog and are in the AOG are thrilled to bits that you are putting your brilliant mind and other talents to use for the good of Community Cats of Salem. It seems that you connected with them JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME – another huge genius move (as with Bishop Magninn and the Mansion) – the joy of Mike Tolan and Sue Silverstein is so evident that you found them – again JUST in the nick of time.

  2. Jon, am sorry to take up your time but seems that your investigative talents as a police reporter in the gritty/grimy cities of Philadelphia and Atlantic City (but I love them both), have been transferred over to the Mansion and to Bishop Magninn (the joy that emanates from Mike Tolan and Sue Silverstein is palpable they are so happy you elected to help them – i can sense their utmost joy!!! And now you are doing the same for Salem’s cats. What a mensch!!!!

  3. A big thank you from Salem’s Community Cats to Jon Katz and his Army for Good. Thanks to all, our supply pantry will soon be fully stocked. Every last item on our Amazon wish list is coming our way.

SCC depends entirely on donations of cash and supplies to keep us moving forward. The supplies purchased for us include cat food and litter, puppy pads, litter pans and scoops, and much-needed cat toys that seem extravagant when you’re on a tight budget like we are but will enrich the lives of our cats and kittens immensely. We are very grateful to be on the receiving end of such generosity.
