Zinnia has gone all Lab. In the morning, a new tradition. Zinnia heads for our pond and jumps in. I have to order some water toys for Labs and find some larger lakes and ponds.
She plunges in – not with any special grace – but with joy and enthusiasm.
In America, so few dogs – especially Labs – get to live the life they were bred for and meant to live. One day soon Zinnia will return to her therapy work and now, she gets to swim every day.
She will live the life a dog like her was meant to live, I promise that. And I feel the joy too, seeing that happen.
What a splendid photo………………………..thank you.
I admire your willingness to let your dogs get dirty and/or wet…but I’m curious as to how you get them clean and dry before they come into the house. What is your secret?
Nothing special, Molly, we just dry them off with a towel..and vacuum a lot..
That was a wonderful story, thank you. My niece just lost her black lab (cancer) . I would like to share this with her but don’t know if it would upset her. Thanks again ?
