The new Bishop Maginn Amazon School Opening Wish List is sold out, and thanks once more. It’s odd how things work in this new world.
The school was rattled learning they had to buy digital cameras for their art students since they can’t touch one another’s the art or give it to their teachers.
They keep facing new regulations, but they have to pay for all of them. Private schools cannot receive government money. TheĀ Catholic Church doesn’t have any.
The cameras all have discs and they can all see one another’s art online.
We raised the money for 10 cameras (I think we will need some more, they hate to ask for anything) and Sue is now excited because she can go outside with her class and each student can take their own pictures and store their artwork on the memory cards.
We both are struck by the fact that something that seems bad often turns out to be good. Challenge always brings opportunity.
I’m going to buy four more. digital cameras so they don’t have to be cleaned constantly.
Sue keeps saying, “but you’ve all done enough,” and I respond each time, “not yet.”
This week, I proposed doing very short and very inexpensive wish lists rather than big ones that can cost a lot of money. More lists, smaller and as inexpensive as possible.
They sell-out quickly and do a world of good. Thanks again, because of you, the school will have a safe opening.
P.S. Price Chopper Gift Card program continues, for the refugees and for the Mansion aides. People are food insecure.
You can buy them in any amount here, please send them directly to me: Jon Katz, 2502 State Route 22, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816 or Jon Katz, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816,
If you prefer, I can purchase the cards also, you can send money via Paypal, [email protected], or at either of the addresses above. I’m happy to do it.
And thanks. We are doing real good
