The new Bishop Maginn School Opening Amazon Wish List sold through, and I can’t thank you enough.

The school says the same thing. You have made it possible for this school to open in time in this chaotic and fraught time for schools.

Bishop Maginn now has the safety equipment – the masks, disinfectants, signage, web-cams (and we got enough money for more laptops as well for those kids too frail to make it in.)

Apart from the Wish List, the Army of Good send $2,000 in donations which the school can use to buy things we didn’t want to put on the list, we feared it would be too expensive.

Now, they are set.

My heart goes out to parents, teachers, and students during this confusing and heart-wrenching time of risk and decision. This year will be especially hard on the students, who may not have anything like a”normal” school experience for years, if ever.

It is clear if you believe in science, which I do, that there will be casualties for sure – some teachers, some students, some people outside the school because of the rush to open up.

People are learning all over the country that opening up too quickly doesn’t help the economy, doesn’t advance freedom, and costs a lot of lives.

Bishop Maginn is desperate to open up, there is no hesitation there at all.

But they worry about their teachers, especially the older ones, and they worry about the students and the unsuspecting people in the community could infect if they are carrying the virus.

Some Americans have become greedy, spoiled, and lazy.

The idea of sacrificing anything seems a crime to them. A lot of people will think differently about the world when this is over and done with.

Your generosity will make everyone safer, as safe as it is possible to be. There is no question kids need to get back to school. You’ve given these kids a good crack at it. You’ve given them hope.
