When I step out of the shower in the morning, “My Peeps,” as they are known here, are lined up and eager to greet me. I’m sure the morning treats I give them have little to do with it, but I love their enthusiasm, and their affection, no matter the motives.

I am fortunate to have three loving, cheerful, and enthusiastic dogs, they keep me up and motivated and smiling.

Fate is the most serious of the dogs, the other two are Mutt and Jeff, the big one and the little one, lovers of life, play, and occasional mischief. Bud is the smallest, but also the ringleader.

Fate really isn’t into playing, she likes to work. You can’t look at these dogs without smiling, and what a gift that is. In the morning, I cannot say not to them.
