I’ve been thinking about it every time I’ve heard it. Dogs know a lot of words, they can only speak one: “Hey!” The more I think of it, the more I love it.

Every morning, when I come out of the shower, Bud, Fate and Zinnia are waiting for me, saying “Hey! Treats!”

I have never been as popular as I am at that moment of the day, except at dog feeding time.

“Hey!,” I say back, “good morning.”
