I was very happy to get the 37 Bishop Maginn graduation caps for seniors that I ordered a few weeks ago. They look great, “Bishop Maginn Class of 2020,” and “Go Griffins,” the school’s team name.
Tomorrow, I’ll ship them off to Sue Silverstein, whose dining room is filling up with gift bag momentoes – key chains, lapel pins, baby candy jars, customized pens – for the graduates.
They will have a ceremony in mid to late summer, it will be in the Albany Cathedral. These kids have suffered greatly this year, and in many ways. They lost their graduation year, but the ceremony will give them a chance to get some of that back.
They will also have some tokens of their Bishop Maginn experience to keep or wear. They love the school very much, they will be happy to honor it in any way.
Thanks so much for your support, I am very proud to be helping to give them the graduation they deserve in an American high school! It really makes muy heart sing and I hope it lifts yours.
