On our podcast, we talk about Maria’s long-awaited Artist Residence on Bedlam Farm. Thanks to a totally unexpected tax refund, Maria will make all the art she wants, but won’t have to worry about paying her bills.

We are married, but Maria fiercely guides her independence and wants to know she can take care of herself, and she can and does.

But I suggested this residence because I know how hard she has been working and how wonderful it would be for her to have some time to make something she doesn’t necessarily need to sell.

People are squawking that we should record our podcasts more regularly, and they are right. We will do that.

So a big week for creativity here. Maria will be blogging daily, as usual, taking her photos and videos, and making potholders and other fun stuff. But she will also be making some other things if she wishes, things she’s always wanted to do but never felt she could take the time to do.

She’s not planning on disappearing, but she isn’t quite sure what she will be making.
