The Mansion: Nathan In The Sky

by Jon Katz

When I pulled into the Mansion today to drop off a toy for one of the aides’ children, I looked up and saw an angel in the sky painting the uppermost tiers of the Mansion building.

I suspected it was Nathan McKenzie and it was, he’s already painted one side of the old building and is working his way around.

The Mansion could use a brush-up and it didn’t bother Nathan one bit to be working so high above the ground.

We shouted up and down at each other, he said the disinfectant fogger is expected to arrive tomorrow, according to the delivery service. It got hung up somewhere in Kentucky.

The sales rep who showed the system to the Mansion is now in touch with Bishop Maginn High School about a system for them in time for the expected Fall return to classes.

We are preparing an Amazon Bishop Maginn High School Safety Wish List so the school can purchase the virus safety signage and plexiglass panels they will need in the Fall. It should be ready in the next week or so.

Nathan is doing an amazing job at the Mansion, they are lucky to have him. I can’t imagine painting that far up.
