If you live on a farm with animals, it’s difficult to get too selfish. Three times a day, at least, you have to make sure the animals are fed and watered. You have to check hooves and coat, have fresh food that is clean and healthy.

I have this feeling that a lot of people in this country have grown selfish, and out of touch with their own pasts and values.  We seem to hate the other, and blame the poor for being vulnerable.

This is one of the many reasons I love the Army Of Good so much, they are the opposite of selfish, they are the way to be.
