I got up early this morning to go to Jean’s Place and let Maria sleep while I brought home some of their wonderful oat bran pancakes. As I was leaving, she came downstairs and came to Jean’s with me.
We both decided that this would be a gentle day. For me, photos and a few words that speak of Spring, peacefulness, and hope. We want to be especially gentle with one another, with the dogs, with ourselves.
Soon, we’ll drive to Saratoga Springs to pick up some fresh hard cider and some fruit. Tonight, we’re driving to Bennington to meet Shanta, an Indian cook who is preparing and selling Indian food from her home.
In between reading, sleeping, resting.
Nothing today that is not gentle.
Everyone needs a gentle day every now and then. Today, where I am, there is sun and the temperature is in the 60s. That is a digging in the dirt day. But, for me, that is a gentle, restful, day.
It certainly started out well with those gorgeous pansies. And Maria working peacefully in the background.
Just wish I could squat like that now
Your pansies are beautiful! Maria looks like she is enjoying herself. I planted green beans and fingering potatoes today. So looking forward to fresh veggies.
We had a gentle day today too. It is our 40 th wedding anniversary and so we did a beautiful hike with our dogs and just read, watched television and had homemade pizza for dinner. No hoopla. Just us…
Congratulations on your anniversary and on your gentle day…
