Women like Maria and Kelsie are fierce individualists with a strong sense of identity. I’ve learned that women with a strong identity rarely spend money on clothes or anything else.

They live in the realm of thrift and consignment stores, a part of their identity is living simply. Their clothes often speak for them, even though they almost never buy anything news.

I love to support creativity and identity wherever I can.

I am always on the lookout for clothes for the women I know that support and speak to their identity, and I know they rarely, if ever, spend money on themselves.

There is a group of very creative artists in London who do amazing work at very low cost, it takes months to get their stuffed shipped here, it is always worth it. I saw these leggings on their website and grabbed this pair for Kelsie.

I bought them in February. I am learning that it’s often the small things that boost morale and confidence during this dread pandemic.

Kelsie spends much of her life in the restaurant’s kitchen.

She works like a demon to help her family and keep Jean’s Place going,  a grinding life for someone so young. She loves her family very much.

I thought the leggings would be a morale booster for a woman with such a fierce sense of her own identity.

She works so hard and when I saw her wearing her Wonder Woman shirts, I knew she would love these leggings. They came yesterday and I brought them to her in the kitchen of Jean’s Place, where she had been working since one a.m.

She just lit up when she saw them. Identity is important to me, it should always be supported. After exclaiming over the leggings, she stopped to spend some quality time with Zinnia. She is one of Zinnia’s Godmoms.
