I can’t remember ever being happier to hand over money than I was to hand Nathan McKensie, the Mansion’s Director of Maintenance, a $3,000 check this morning.
It was about 48 hours ago that Nathan e-mailed me a request for help purchasing a Disinfectant Fogger system for the Mansion to protect them from the coronavirus and other infections and viruses that prey on the elderly.
In a day-and-a-half, the Army Of Good came up with the $3,000 Nathan needed to buy his fogger and enough disinfect and refills and sprays for a year.
I went over to the Mansion with Maria this morning to turn over the check. It was a sweet moment for me, a high point I will remember a long time. The Army Of Good is just amazing.
We stood our obligatory six feet apart, both wearing masks, as Zinnia looked on. I admire Nathan. A few years ago, he went to Haiti to help the country rebuild after the awful earthquake. He’s the real deal.
Thanks so much. I’ll get another video from him later in the day.
That is wonderful! Although I could not participate in this magnificent effort, I am so proud of the Army of Good members who were able to purchase this for The Mansion. God loves you all.
