Bedlam Farm Coloring Page For The Mansion

by Jon Katz

At least once or twice a day, Maria and I think about what we can do for the Mansion residents, barricaded inside their assisted care facility for weeks, and possibly months. Yesterday, Maria came up with the idea of a Bedlam Farm coloring page that she is drawing.

When it’s finished, we’ll send it over to Julie Hardin, the Mansion Activities Director and she’ll print it out. I’ve purchased crayons and drawing pencils for the residents,  so hopefully, they can break the monotony and have some fun.

Julie tells me they are not reading my book Second Chance Dog, the story of my relationship with Maria and her man-hating dog Frieda.

  1. This would be a nice activity for the children of the aides. For that matter, I would buy one for myself.

  2. Has Maria thought about doing color pages and selling them to us? I know I would buy them. Just a thought Jon? I know you are both really busy, but that color page is great!

  3. Jon,

Can you republish (or send me) names of some of the residents of the Mansion that would like some mail sent to them. I cannot find your earlier blog that mentioned this. I would like to participate in these correspondences.
    Thanks,
    George
