Liam does not like dogs. He often butted Red and battled with him, and he charges at Fate if she gets too close, which she doesn’t. Zinnia didn’t accept that.
I know this could be a children’s story (I remember writing it with Lenore and Brutus at the first Bedlam Farm.) Some Labs just won’t take no for answer, although Brutus was very friendly and didn’t mind dogs.
Every day, Zinnia would come up to Liam and every day he would butt her on the side of the head, and she would back off. But she kept coming, and Liam got less and less annoyed and butted her with less and less feeling.
This morning, she came up to Liam and licked him on the nose. And he stood still and let her, he didn’t butt her or walk away or charge at her.
One by one, Zinnia has charmed each of the sheep and Lulu and Fanny. She is a farm dog now, and she can go out in the pasture wherever she pleases.
