Zinnia has become a familiar face around Jean’s Place. She greets customers, cheers up the family and today, she came close to eating a yellow balloon. I am always tickled by how much people love to see this dog, and how happy she is to see them.
Kevin says lunch and dinner is busy, breakfast is slower. Over the next weeks, from what I gather, health and civic officials will make some decisions about how long this shutdown will last.

Bill Gates, whose foundation has student Pandemics for years, says we need to stay at home for 6 to 10 weeks to really beat back the coronavirus. The President thinks two or three weeks for many parts of America.
The two people I listen to most are Dr. Anthony Fauci of the CDC and Governor Cuomo in New York. His daily press conferences are all the news and information that I need.
They both seem smart and honest to me, and they both say we just don’t know what is going to happen, but we’ll have a much better idea in a couple of weeks.
I’m going with that since I am not qualified to make any sound judgments. For the sake of Jean’s Place, I hope it’s not longer than a few weeks. But Jean’s Place lovers have done a good job of keeping the family busy and hopeful. They are tough and loved, I bet that carries them through.
