Scrubs Arrive At The Mansion. St. Patrick’s Day Looms

by Jon Katz

The first scrubs for the Mansion aides have arrived at the Manion, they’ll be distributed to each of the 19 Mansion aides this week.

Thank you for supporting this, I ordered some nice, even colorful scrubs as requested by each aide, and this will not only help their budgets but give the place some zip.

Melissa says thanks for her new blue scrub, she is very grateful. I’ll post some more photos as the aides get their scrubs. This is a great example of a small act of great kindness, and I thank you.

The aides are worthy of support, they do wonderful work for very little pay.

I’m also sponsoring a singer who is coming to the Mansion to play on St. Patrick’s Day.  We helped get him to the Mansion last year, and the residents loved him. He will cost $200.

I’m also getting a sweatshirt for Bert, who lost hers.  This Wednesday, I’m going to Bishop Maginn to help three students in real need of books and clothes.

If you wish to help, you can send a contribution to me via Paypal, [email protected], or by check, Jon Katz, Mansion/Refugee Fund, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. And thanks.
