Kevin is almost always in the kitchen when I get to Jean’s Place, he is the son of Kelly, the co-owner of Jean’s Place and the Head Chef. When we come to Jean’s, he always comes out and asks how Zinnia is. After we eat, I always go get her so he can see how she is doing.
He likes to see how much she has grown and also to follow our training. When we come in, I ask Zinnia to lie down and stay, and that blows Kevin’s mind a bit. He is a lot of fun to talk to and I am not addicted to his egg cheese sandwiches (on an English muffin.)
My favorite lunch is the BLT wrap with coleslaw. This is the first time I got Kevin to pose. I’m getting to be a regular.
Jean’s Place is family-run, and family-run places are the biological opposite of corporate places or franchises. May they last forever.
Kevin is a great animal lover, and one of the cogs that makes Jean’s place go. He is a fine chef as well, and like everybody else there, he works like a demon and knows just about everyone who comes into the restaurant.
I’ve been dying to take his picture, I’m not disappointed.
