Maria granted me permission to post this video of her, taken at Belly Dancing Class last night. She is wearing the coin belt that I bought her a year ago, but which she re-worked into her own image and vision.
A coin belt is a decorate cloth with coins that jangle during a belly dance. Maria had her own vision for her coin belt and took it to Belly Dancing Class last night.
It was great to see the coin belt in action, but also to see how far Maria has come, she loves belly dancing and has worked hard at it and it shows. Her creativity never ceases to surprise me, the evolution of this coin belt is an exercise in true art.
It took a lot of strength and confidence for Maria to do this. It’s a triumph. I’m happy for her and proud of her. Come and see.
Maria, I am astounded at the progress you have made in your dancing. I could MAYBE move one hip one way, then the other hip the other way – but not both at the same time and swivel!
