Today marked the first time in my life that I got a sweet note from a chef in a restaurant that came with the food. It was from Kelsie, it was written on a paper plate.

It read: “Jon @ Maria love you both, Have a great day, Kelsie.” The note inspired me to rush into the kitchen to get a shot of her working at the grill. Kelsie is always up for a photo, the camera loves her and her attitude.

Kelsie works about 10 to 15 years a day during the week and all day on weekends.

Maria and I realized it’s a holiday this morning, we went to Jean’s Place so she could order some waffles with whipped cream and I could get a short stack of oat bran blueberry pancakes, all of which were delicious.

Now nice to get a note like that in the morning. Kelsie likes to talk tough, she is a squish.

A short stack of oat bran pancakes (with pure Vermont syrup) is one of my favorite meals in the morning. I’m going to write this morning and then stop off at the Mansion on my way to Saratoga to see Susan.
