Today, I’m getting over whatever bugged me, and full of myself. I’m working a bit to save our fish tank, hit by some nasty bacterial disease. Details later. I’m going to the Mansion for my weekly reading:
I am collecting funds to buy scrubs for each of the Mansion aides. I just need a few hundred dollars more, they are each ordering the ones they would like, they come in all sizes and colors. If you wish to help, you can donate via Paypal, [email protected] or by check, Jon Katz, Scrubs, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. This will be a big help them, they work long hours, do wonderful work and get little money. Thanks)
Then, Maria and I are going to see Susan Popper later this afternoon. The two need to have a talk with each other, I am besieged by requests for Zinnia to meet with some of the hospital patients.
I feel good about today. I got to rest this weekend, my head is clear. Wednesday, I’m going to Bishop Maginn High School to hopefully spread some joy. We’ve had a run of nasty weather, I hope we get a break.
Thursday, a big meeting with Susan and her doctors to go over what the tests are showing and figure out the next step. Everybody with be there, her doctor, oncologists, the hospice and palliative care people, Donna Nicosia on the phone, Sue’s brother in from California, me and Zinnia.
I’m feeling strong and hopeful today, about me, my life, and the world. Valentine’s Day is kind of a forced holiday, but it is good to be reminded about love in any form.
I love this picture!! I always enjoy your photos, seeing the different forms they take as you use the various lenses (or whatever you call them – I can’t think of the correct description) But this photo is perfection to me – so vivid, it feels as if I am standing right there rather than looking at a photo!
