Amy McLenithan is tough. The whole town shut down early today because of the winter storm, but Amy stayed open until 2 p.m., the closing time for Amy’s Country Kitchen. If she says she will be open until 2, she is open until two.

When I pulled into her parking lot to take a picture, she was running to the road to take her “Open” flag down. I shouted that I was just taking a photo and we waved.
