Today I get to meet the new Cheer Squad at Bishop Maginn High School. My announcement about the new squad was met with a couple of days of controversy about the value put on women’s bodies and women’s identity. It didn’t last long or get too nasty.

The plan is to support the new Cheer Squad through a new Amazon Bishop Maginn Cheer Squad Wish List, hopefully, to go up Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

The squad needs exercise mats mostly, and maybe some classy Pom-Poms.

This squad fits no stereotypes and is a picture of diversity in every sense of the world. I plan on taking a video of them working out at practice and I’ll share that when I get back from Albany.
