Re-Thinking The Bedlam Farm Logo

by Jon Katz

I’ve asked the very gifted Abrah Griggs to freshen up the Bedlam Farm logo to reflect some of the changes here. I want to keep Red right where he is but add Zinnia, perhaps to the other side.

And I’m thinking of adding a donkey to the logo, perhaps replacing the chicken below.

To me, the most important animals for the logo are Red, Zinnia, and the donkeys. I think those capture the spirit of Bedlam Farm now.

Of these drawings above, I favor the one on the left. I think Zinnia could replace the sheep. It is a pleasure to work with an artist like Abrah, her talent is awesome.

  1. I think I thought the sheep was a rabbit, and then it is dressed like Maria, so I thought maybe it symbolized her. Love the left drawing of Zinnea, and ask the chicken is kind of fun & whimsical.

  2. Jon, I do hope you add Zinnia and a donkey to the logo. Zinnia is precious and Lulu and Fanny are iconic but please keep a sheep. I enjoy Maria’s sheep photos and her thoughts about their wool and individual personalities. They seem to me to be such an integral part of your farm. Just my opinion … thanks.

    1. Thanks Barbara, Maria will continue to write about and photograph the sheep on her blog..they are important to the farm, but not as important to me now that Red is gone..She’ll keep focusing on them, as she does now..

  3. I love all your additions, and I would also love to see Bud. After all, there is love between the Zinnia and him!

    1. I appreciate the input, truly. I don’t feel the need to include all of the dogs or animals, that would just be clutter..I want to pick the ones that have special meaning at this moment..we can change the logo anytime as the farm changes…Bud doesn’t belong with Red and Zinnia right now, it’s just a different experience..maybe next tim..

  4. I like the left one too… perhaps you can add Bud also? Somewhere between the letters.
I like your logo very much.
