Sharing Life. What We Can Learn From Them

by Jon Katz

We love seeing the friendship deepen between Zinnia and Bud. He has been so generous and accepting of her, the two share their lives together, and it is poignant in many ways because they came together from completely opposite ends of the dog world.

Bud was a viciously neglected and brutalized rescue from the woods of Southern Arkansas, Zinnia came from a wealthy and experienced breeder in the classiest part of Connecticut.

Isn’t it a remarkable thing that they can do this so easily while we supposedly superior animals can barely do it at all.

They are both sweet dogs with big hearts, and it lifts our hearts to see how much they love together, they are sharing life in the best possible ways. Just think about what we can learn from watching them.
