I’m trying to end my blog writing day with a “smile” photo, from my e-mail, people need it. I don’t know if I can do this every day, but with Zinnia around, I have a good shot at it.
Today, Zinnia was a Joy Spreader, from the dentist’s office to the Mansion Memory Care Center, where we visited with Billy, a real animal lover. He just lit up when he saw Zinnia, he clapped, laughed, smiled and hugged her again and again.
Zinnia is the Queen wherever she goes, she just receives love and adulation as if it were a birthright, perhaps it is. We spread some happiness in the Memory Care Center, Zinnia is beginning to grasp the point of these visits.
This sure made Billy smile, and it made me smile. Hope it does the same for you. Zinnia, like Red, has perfected the loving stare. And the lick on the nose.
All the dogs make me smile … Zinnia is a wonderful addition that completes the trio. Lovely way to close the evening.
Jon, this is what I like about your website ‘blog’. At the end of the day or any time during the day when I need to feel good, I need some thought provoking information, I can find it here. With the media onslaught of hyped up information and ‘slamming’ people, I find I’m intellectually bankrupted reading their cr*p. You’re careful about what you write and say but yes, the smile a day, the good feeling that comes from your ‘blog’ is so refreshing in this present degrading media writing. Thank you for this.

Perhaps that’s what God intended when (S)he invented dogs – joy spreaders.
Zinnia always makes me smile and this is a particularly sweet smile. Thank you. Smiles are precious.
