Zinnia and Bud are great pals, but Fate is still somewhat standoffish. Zinnia constantly comes up to her and gives her some licks, but usually, she gets a snarl or growl in return. Fate has never been drawn to female dogs, and she can be a bit grumpy with other dogs approach her.

Zinnia seems to worship her, following her around, studying her work with the sheep, but so far, Fate mostly ignores her. I think Fate will come around, she just needs time and space.

Fate is a proud and imperious creature, she has her own ways of doing things. She doesn’t give it away. Zinnia loves to sit out with her in the pasture and watch her work. Zinnia and the sheep seem to have found great peace with each other, she pays little mine to them, they pay little mind to her.

She generally stays away from the donkeys, and they don’t pay her much attention either. She is very much at ease out in the pasture now, we walk back towards the woods and run in the pastures.

I’m betting in the Spring, Fate will come around and do the Big Sister thing.
