The Changing Sky

by Jon Katz

The sky above the farm has been amazing lately, the weather has been intense, changing every day – storms, snow, ice, rain,  sun, and then today, a powerful wind coming out of the South and the West.

It blew the trash cans around, took some of the gutters off of the roof, send the animals deep into the Pole Barn.

The weather has been tumultuous, never still for long.

The gusts were strong, they could bend me over. Maria and I went out to feed the animals, and we didn’t last long out there. But I saw my big sky and ran to get my camera. I love the big sky pictures.

They bristle with emotion, I always feel as if Mother Earth is talking to me, calling out to me, touching me.

  1. I love the big sky as well and your breathtaking big sky pictures. They give me a heart leap when I see the colors and depth.
Thank you for your beautiful art every day.

  2. I absolutely love the leggings Maria is wearing in this picture. Such beautiful colours on a dark winter day. Being a large person, leggings have never been a wardrobe item for me, but I love wild-coloured shirts, especially in winter, and if they glow in the dark, that’s even better! ?
