Thanksgiving Day: The Feel Of Bedlam

by Jon Katz

It’s cold and gloomy outside, warm inside. Bud and Zinnia have been playing, Zinnia goes to the door when she wants to go out, Maria and I are making turkey meatballs together.

I don’t know what the recipe is, I might have to run out to try to get some cider if anyplace is open.

I’m experimenting with some different photo-editing applications to replace my lost Aperture program. I’m especially drawn to the AI programs which can take an image and evoke a feeling.

This one has a light abstraction tool that takes a photo and gives it an abstract kind of feeling. I’m kind of hypnotized by this image, it so beautifully captured the windy cold and somewhat empty feeling of our pasture.

I’m really enjoying these photo applications. I think my photos can be more creative and I’m fascinated by how AI works with photographs. Stay tuned, as often happens with trouble, I might have come out better.
