The Secret Garden trio – Bert, Nancy, Georgianna – are all going away Wednesday to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. Bert is going with her family, and Georgianna invited Nancy to come home with her for Thanksgiving Dinner in Saratoga.

A special victory today: I finally got the right sized coat and mittens for Nancy, she has been freezing out in The Secret Garden in her sweatshirt, and we either lost the coats or couldn’t find the right size.

This is their private talking and smoking place.

I found a beautiful goose down winter jacket in the right size in a consignment shop. I also found her giant green mittens to fit over her hands, which sometimes freeze up on her.

She’s got a new hat too, but so far, she likes her hoodie.

Georgianna is also wearing her new winter coat and socks. The really cold weather is just ahead and I’m happy to see these three finally ready.

On Thursday, the Mansion will feel strange and lonely, many of the residents will be off with their families, but some will be at the Mansion, sometimes feeling blue. A lot of the residents have no family or never get to see them.

Thanksgiving is hard for them.

I’m going to go to the Mansion Thursday morning to offer a Thanksgiving Meditation And Prayer meeting in the dining room at all. I think it’s where I belong on Thursday morning.
