People often message me and say they are sometimes frustrated, they say they never get a chance to buy items on Bishop Maginn or Mansion Wish Lists because they quickly sell out.
Here’s a chance.
Our new Bishop Maginn Christmas Children’s Wish List is nearly sold out – there are just three items left from the original 20, posted last night: a Hey Sun Reversible Sequin Backpack For girls (Purple/Teal), $24.99; a Growsland Remote Control Electric Sports Racing Hobby Toy car, $15.99 and a Barbie Just Play Pastry Set, $21.61.
All presents on the wish list are gifts asked for by children, submitted by teachers, parents, and grandparents of students at Bishop Maginn High School. We are keeping the names anonymous.
These are families (two teachers included) whose parents cannot afford to buy these gifts for their children at Christmas. These wish lists are a wonderful way to help the needy and vulnerable refugee and other students a Bishop Maginn.
I feel like we – the Army Of Good – have adopted this school and their students and teachers.
They are some of the most wonderful caring people I have ever met, young and old. How wonderful that we can bring these kids the Christmas they want and deserve. They have suffered enough. You can check out the remaining items on the Wish List here.
I am not a Christian, but an admirer of the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the spirit of Christmas – giving more than receiving – shines brightly at this school. I am honored to help them celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Check out the list here while it lasts.
Reminders. If you need the school address for Amazon, it is Bishop Maginn High School, 75 Park Avenue, Albany, N.Y., 12202. In addition to the presents, there are always two kinds of Amazon Bishop Maginn Gift Cards up on the list: one for $10 and one for $25.
They add up and can be purchased at any time, including for Christmas.
Thanks for the donations for the $50 Wal-Mart gift cards for the Mansion aides. I need $700, I received $600 yesterday and last night. I’m donating to this one myself.
I just need $100 more: Paypal, [email protected] or by check, Jon Katz, Mansion Aides, P.O. Box 205, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. If there is any overage, it will go to the clothing fund to keep the Mansion residents and Bishop Maginn students warm this winter.
