We had an interesting week in Bedlam this week, that’s the subject of our latest podcast. Maria is selling shawls on her Etsy page with her talented friend Suzy (she makes them). (The shawl is for sale for $138 including shipping.)
We are planning for Zinnia, I’m agonizing over my book life, we got the septic tank cleaned out just in time (there was a strange and ominous gurgling), and our long preparation for winter is finally over.
Ryan Snell, the septic person, is one of the Big Men in trucks who inspired me to get Bud. I’ve got some photos of Ryan and his dogs, they were sitting alongside him in the truck.
Life is organic around here, it is always changing, evolving, surprising. I think that is so healthy for us, it keeps me healthy and feeling quite young. We don’t do stasis here.
Maria is the Willa Cather prairie girl, I’m the Quarter Master, I work the phones and interact with the outside world.
This morning, I spent two hours searching for a plumber. Come and listen to our new podcast.
The podcast cut off after 24 minutes in the middle of Maria talking about rescuing dogs. I hope there’s more; I’m interested in her take on the subject.
