I sometimes wonder what they are saying to one another, they don’t speak in words, but their conversations are intense and deeply spiritual. I don’t ask what they are saying and Maria doesn’t tell me.
I don’t like to get too close when they are talking, I don’t want to intrude or disrupt their conversations.
These dialogues – Maria and Lulu and Fanny – began some years ago, perhaps six or seven years. They have taught me a great deal about talking to animals, how they talk to us if we learn to listen.
We keep putting our words into their heads, and in so doing, we fail to really communicate with them or understand them.
I am lucky to see such a beautiful thing almost every day. These three never seem to run out of things to say.
