A new podcast. Lots of news.
This weekend turned out to be important, it was a time of renewal, for us, our work, our idea of friendship, our life with animals.
We made an important new friend, Maria got two beautiful new wool sheep, I am talking seriously about doing another book, something I had mostly put behind me.
Tomorrow, we go to Connecticut to meet Zinnia, our new Lab puppy.
Our new podcast here.
Red’s death reminds me that everything is a gift. It opened the way for Zinnia and a deeper level of therapy work with a dog. It sparked Maria to embrace the idea of sheep on our farm and take over from where I left off without Red.
He is a gift that keeps on giving. Doors close, doors open.
Maria now has all kinds of plans now for her wool and yarn work.
Now that I am no longer sheepherding, I am free to focus even more on my blog, my photos, my work with the refugees and the elderly.
And our sheep have a new purpose and role to play in our lives. Liz, our shearer, has become a valued friend, someone with whom we both have a strong and meaningful connection.
In the podcast, we cover this ground, exciting for us, and hopefully of interest to you. I hope you enjoy it.
