Video: Shearing Biddy. Come And Watch

by Jon Katz

Liz Willis is a remarkable woman, she lives in a small town in Vermont with her sheep and dog, she has been shearing since she was eight. She brought two of her wool sheep to us as a gift, and she sheared our sheep this morning.

She is strong and sure, the sheep are always calm and trusting around here.

Maria and I have both become good friends of Liz, and we are excited to hear about her plans for her life and her farm.

She is one of those people who can do anything they want, and most definitely will. She and Maria have a strong connection, and it is especially lovely to see them work together, Liz shearing, Maria separating the junk wool from the good stuff.

Come and watch two strong and creative women work together..

  1. That’s really amazing to watch. A hard job, done with great skill. It looks like Fate was helping, also.

  2. I loved seeing how sheep are shorn, and I certainly had no idea one would be this cooperative. Amazing process! Liz is certainly a strong, amazing lady to do that, and she and Maria make a good team. I loved watching Fate trying to do whatever she was trying to do, and loved seeing Lulu with the new sheep. Thanks so much for showing us how sheep are sheared.
