Shortly after we set up this fish tank a couple of years ago (it was a birthday present for Maria, I think) I decided to get snails for the first time in my fish tank life.

It was a good idea. Snails are a perfect addition to the eco-system of a fish tank, they help keep a tank clean and in balance. Maria and I have become addicted to them, and their amazing industry, agility, and maneuverability.

This morning, I wanted one of our “Mystery Snails” climb all the way up to the tip of our tallest, skinniest plant. I can’t imagine how he did, but you can see it for yourself.
