This road is close to our farmhouse, and I’ve been waiting for the sky to open up above it, and this was what saw on Tuesday, a wonderful way to begin the day.

The symbolism of the road and the path is well known, but up here in the country, I feel it in a special way. I always this of this road – it leads to the Green Mountains of Vermont – as the road taken.

So is my life up here in this beautiful country.

The news gets uglier all the time, it seems, but my road is simple and beautiful, unscarred by the foolishness of humans.
