Lenore Severni Of Stonewall Farms Labradors sent me this photo of the seven pups tonight, they look fat, happy and healthy, just the way puppies ought to look. Garnett is a great mother.
They are nearly two weeks old and I can’t help but scan for Zinnia in the litter.
I was drawn to the puppy on the upper right of the photo, I had a feeling this might be Zinnia? Is she sweet, I asked Lenore?
“They’re all sweet,” she replied, “and it’s way too soon to pick out your Zinnia.” Lenore isn’t buying any of it, it’s too soon, and I know that. She’s a good breeder and she knows what she’s doing.
Still…The fates are with us, I think.
I had a wonderful lab named Lenore, and now a great breeder named Lenore. There are three healthy females in that litter, and Lenore says all her dogs are a sweet, good mother, good father, good genes.
I believe her.
I think Lenore will know Zinnia when she sees her, good breeders can do that. Lenore sent me another photo of a female puppy sticking her tongue out. We both joked there might be a message in that. Notice the soft carpet for them to lie on, lucky dogs:
