This week, I’m seeing October Light, the photographer’s light, we’re a couple of weeks from October, the light has begun to slant.
I hope climate change doesn’t take October Light away, the slanting light is much loved by the camera.
This morning, sunrise beckoned, as it often does, and I thought about the power and sanctity and beauty of the light.
The Kabbalah says that every conceivable form of fulfillment and pleasurer that a soul can yearn for is contained within the Light.
This includes the joy of sex and the ecstasy of fine chocolate. The Light also includes the force of healing, the power of safety and the bliss of a loving and passionate relationship.
Light, says the Kabbalah, is the force that we call intuition. The magic that attracts the right people and opportunities in our lives.
The inner spirit that arouses hope and optimism within us each morning. The fuel that triggers and inspires our self-motivation to seek more and more out of life.
I think the Light is my religion, my sanctuary, my power. It is oxygen for the soul.
Jon, what a charming photo, one of my favorite shots as you know!
