Maria and I went to the Cambridge Farmer’s Market this morning to pick up some scones and croissant for breakfast – our little Farmer’s Market is great, beautiful flowers Slovakian food, liver pate, and beet salad and Babaganoosh, melons and homemade soap. fresh bread and vegetables and raspberries, scones and cookies, even a mushroom stand.
I don’t think the market was ever as good as it is this year. We go every Sunday and stock up on fresh and great food for the week. I get most of my cookies for the Mansion aides there.
As we were leaving with our scones and freshly baked bread, we both stopped short when we heard this great Bluegrass band called Optical Switch, with an amazing lead singer.
We sat down on a bench nearby and decided to shift our breakfast plans and eat outside on this beautiful Fall morning and to hear some really great Bluegrass music – it’s been a while since I’ve heard anything this good.
The bread and liver pate were great, the fresh raspberries just about did melt in our mouths. Maria even brought me a fresh and warm cup of coffee. What a treat.
We sat and listened to music for half an hour, and it was an especially sweet morning on a gorgeous day. I wanted to share a bit of the music with you. Come and listen.
