Lenore is keeping me posted on Garnett’s pregnancy, she messaged me yesterday and sent a photo of Garnett, our puppy’s mother, she wrote: “eight days to go.”

Garnett is due to give birth on September 20, if all goes well, we will go get our puppy eight weeks later, around Thanksgiving. Time to start doing some puppy planning – crates, training, food, etc.

We have tentatively named the puppy Zinnia (“Zin”), I’m pretty set on getting a female and training her for therapy work.  There’s no guarantee that Garnett will have even one female, or that she will be the one we want and need. But we’ll figure that out when it comes.

I’m optimistic. I have great faith in our breeder, she has a lot of experience and has bred some beautiful dogs, in terms of health and temperament.

I love the idea of getting  Lab again, they are among the animal worlds best family pets, and also can be wonderful therapy dogs. And I like the mix – a crazy border collie, entitled Boston Terrier, (hopefully) sweet Lab.

We are eager to give Zin the best possible life a dog can have. Lenore is keeping me posted, I’ll keep you posted.
