In the house, no dogs sleep in our bed. We both have had enough of that. Cute puppies sneak in, and then they get to be big dogs and we have to fight them for legroom. They also shed and snore.
The last dog to sleep in our bed was Lenore, she could be tough at night, when she dug in, she was like a tank, it took a strong person to move her. At night, in the winter, it was a tough challenge.
Fate sleeps downstairs, she likes to be near the door in case anybody wants to go out and do some work. Bud sleeps in his crate upstairs in our bedroom, some mornings – today – I let him out of his crate around 6 a.m. and race him to get back into bed, he will snuggle right up Maria’s nose if he can.
He curls up at the foot of the bed if I get there first, and then, around 7 a.m. he’ll just creep and crawl his way up wait patiently for one of us to show life. He’s a tough guy out in the pasture, but a kitten cat in the house. He’s a world-class snuggler.
So this was the first thing I saw this morning, he was just waiting to get closer. This small dog is a family dog for sure, he loves every person or animal who lives in the house, doesn’t pay all that much attention to anybody else.
I’d like to do some more dog-sharing tonight, please post images of your dogs so we can all see the dogs other people love. The images will be shown on my Facebook Page, and thanks for sharing them. I am learning a lot about dogs from your photos and comments.
No special themes here, just any dog you love or live with.
I show you mine, I’d like to see yours. See them on my Facebook Page.
I love his cute face! Our dogs don’t sleep with us either, officially. But I once woke up from a nap on the couch to see my son’s dog, Frank, just two inches from my face as he debated trying to jump up and join me. And at that angle, I swear he looked just like ET……Frank is a sweet dog, but definitely has a unique look.
I just shared my Gracie, Mollie, and Zoey with you. They are all seniors now, 13-10. I also shared my beloved Doberman, Baron, who died 3 months ago. Gracie and Zoey sleep on the bed with me, now that Don is in Heaven. Mollie is the watchdog in the kitchen. Baron always slept on the couch in the great room. I miss him so much. Thanks for letting us share our sweet dogs with you.
