Today, a departure from Blue, the gifted artist refugee student at Bishop Maginn High School In Albany. Blue says she has dark moods, especially at night.

She wrote this on the back of the watercolor, which she calls “Sleep Peacefully.”

“One said when you wake up, the world will be vanish, and gone forever.” She said she does not feel that dark in the day time, at night, she spends a lot of time awake and looking at the stars.

This water-color is for sale for $25 plus $10 to go to the School Supplies Fund for Bishop Maginn. Shipping is $6.

I think it is one of her most honest and original works, and I think this creativity helps her sleep and through some of the dark dreams  that are familiar to many refugee children.
