Blue’s latest watercolor is based on Libra, the only zodiac constellation in the sky represented b an inanimate object. The other eleven signs are represented either as an animal or mythological character.
The sign of Libra is symbolized by the scales. As scales of ancient times were really “balances,” followers of this constellation seek balance themselves. Libra is considered among the most sociable of the signs.
Blue is very much into the stars.
Many modern astrologers regard Libra as the most desirable of the zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped.
This painting is for sale for $25, it is signed. It is a fitting symbol for Blue and the other artists in the Silverstein Art Brigade. I believe they are coming to the high point of their own seasons.
Most mornings, even though the Bishop Maginn High School is out for the summer, Blue comes to Sue Silverstein’s art class, which she keeps open most weekdays (she is not paid for this) so Blue and Paw Lway and Asher and Assachar and the other art students have some place to go and resources to do their work and make their art.
Blue, not always the most focused of students, is very focused on her art.
