Issachar had a rough week, I gathered. I could see it in  his face, usually so cheerful and upbeat. Today, he looked a bit worn down. I brought him some books – a Marvel Comic Encyclopedia and a collection of Spiderman comics.

I also brought him a soft and fuzzy rabbit, I know he has an old stuffed animal that has gotten him through some awful times. He seemed to love it, he called his mother up to tell her about it.

I asked him if he was up for some jokes, and he was. Issachar is now a senior at the Bishop Maginn High School in Albany.

He writes all of  his own jokes, and I think he is great. I know he wants to be a lawyer, but the world will  have missed a fine natural comic.
