We have a chipmunk in the pasture stone wall who seems to be a match for the determined and obsessive Bud. I didn’t realize what hunters Boston Terriers are, but it makes sense. They were bred in part to kill rats and mice.
We have a chipmunk in the pasture who loves to stick his had out of his hole in the stone wall when Bud is around. Bud dive bombs the wall to try to catch his new nemesis, but so far, the chipmunk has his number.
While Bud stares over the stone wall, waiting to pounce, the chipmunk has an exit hole on the other side of the wall, he just scoots out and heads to a bigger stone wall. Bud is a patient hunter.
Red has not figured this out yet, and it almost seems like the chipmunk is taunting him, if I didn’t know better. Do I know better? Bud is into the chase, he is keeping a close eye on his wall.
Another beautiful photo of lovely Bud and the wall.
We have a chipmunk living in a small hill on our front lawn for the past 5 years. We call him Gus Gus. Who knows if it is always the same chipmunk, but we enjoy hours of entertainment while sitting on our porch watching him dash about the neighborhood stashing his goodies underground. Great fun!
