Red makes his rounds after Bingo night. Helen is always sitting in the same place. She always thanks him for coming to see her. “Such a good boy,” she says.
Touching picture. Red’s head & face are looking at Helen, whether he can see her well or not. You wrote on a recent blog about your stories to which people most responded–stories about your animals. Of course I love them too; and would like to purchase many of the photos. You also mentioned that your stories about The Mansion don’t get much response. Your blog gives them a face & voice in this world, and an unrestricted opportunity to share what concerns them. In a past blog you were talking with a lady who shared what it was like ‘not to be able to remember.’ It was expressive, insightful–better than reading a book on ‘aging.’ What a gift to you too–and to Maria!
Thanks Linda, I’ve learned that comments bear no relationship to number of readers..People don’t often comment on the Mansion posts, but they are very quick to send donations to help them when necessary…
